Create a reusable Skill

Save a prompt as a reusable Skill you can run again, from a template, or by exporting and importing it.

A Skill lets you save an instruction — for example, "write a professional sales follow-up email" — as a named, reusable action you can run again with new input, instead of retyping the same prompt every time.

Create your own

Go to Skills in the sidebar and create a new Skill: give it a name and the instruction you want it to follow. Every edit publishes a new, immutable version — past versions aren't lost, they just stop being the current one.

Start from a template

The Browse templates tab lists starter Skills you can duplicate into your own account with one click, instead of writing an instruction from scratch.

Run it

Pick a model tier and provide the input for this run — a Skill run goes through the exact same chat pipeline as a regular message (same idempotency key requirement, same quota reservation and ledger debit, same per-message cost tracking — see How it works).

Export and import

Any Skill can be exported to a portable JSON file ({ name, instruction, input_schema, output_schema, version }) and imported back — into the same account or a different one. An imported Skill never carries over a tool binding or ownership field from the file; it always becomes a fresh Skill owned by whoever imports it.

Scope

Skills you create are private to your own account in this edition — sharing a Skill with a team is planned for the Team/Organization editions.
